María Inés Corrá

Lawyer graduated from the School of Law of the National University of La Plata in 1993. She obtained a Master's degree in Administrative Law at the School of Law of Austral University in 1995.

María Inés is co-head of the International Arbitration, Administrative Law and Economic Regulation areas at Bomchil, Argentina. She has 20-year experience in the arbitral practice, representing multinational companies as co-counsel or lead counsel both in investments and commercial international matters under the main rules of international arbitration (such as ICSID, ICC, ICDR, UNCITRAL and other rules). She also acts as international arbitrator.

Contractual and regulatory matters in which she has advised or intervened include inter alia: conventional electric power generation, distribution and transportation; renewable energy generation; natural gas production, distribution and transportation and non-conventional natural gas generation; installation of nuclear power plants; environmental disputes (related to mining activities, conventional electric power and urban and hazardous waste dumps); agribusiness; airport sector; fishing sector; SPAs in regulated markets; retail; insurance; infrastructure; EPC contracts; FIDIC contracts and public private partnership (PPP); public works concession (highways and roads); prison construction; public subsidies and compensation systems; price control; integration and segmentation of regulated industries; public utility tariffs; water and sewage concessions; data protection (pharmaceuticals); modifications to private and public contracts due to government measures; export restrictions on essential goods; taxes and contributions; port infrastructure construction and operation; oil & gas production; on shore and off shore contracts; telecommunications; international supply; emergency measures, among others.

She litigates before federal and state courts, including Argentine Highest Court in public law, private law, regulatory, constitutional and environmental matters.
